Much like reading expands knowledge, meditation expands awareness. It’s a tool for figuring yourself out.
Meditation is a foundational skill—one that everything else can be built upon.
Take my experience with learning piano. I could never sit and practice. It wasn’t until I learned to sit with my breath for an hour that I could sit at a piano for an hour and play.
Meditation trained my ability to concentrate. And concentration is the key to learning anything.
I remember thinking, “if I can sit with my worst thoughts for an hour, I can sit with this instrument.”
That shift changed everything. I started rolling my focus into other areas of life, and the results followed.
It’s never too late to start. I didn’t begin meditating until I was a fully formed adult. But the mind is always changing. We get to guide the direction.
I attached a 7-minute meditation to help you get started.
Enjoy.
